“They are coming in here telling us what to do instead of listening.

“We live in this community, we know what’s best for the community, we’re sick of people coming in and telling us what to do. We’re sick of people coming and putting programs in the community that doesn’t work,” Councillor Wilson said.

“And then they are going around telling you-beaut stories about what’s working…if it’s working we’re promoting it but if it’s not what’s going on here?”

When Cr Wilson was asked if this might be a reflection oncity-based decision making, he responded with; “it’s a thought that’s happening in the city. It’s something they dreamed of last night and they get up the next day and say ‘I had a you-beaut dream last night about a program we can run in Mornington Island.’
